Webinar - Reclaiming Emotional Health: Integrating Emotional Stabilization Efforts within the School Community

Wednesday, January 12, 2022 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (EST)

Description

NHASP, in partnership with High 5 Adventure Learning, is pleased to share that we will be hosting this highly interactive an intimate webinar on January 12th from 12-1pm. Schools are currently facing an urgent need to integrate emotional stabilization into all aspects of their communities — for students, faculty and staff, school leaders, and families. Reclaiming emotional health by developing skills of self-regulation, exercising ownership over how we learn, teach, lead and how we interact with each other is critical for all of us. Having conversations within school communities about emotions is a vital component of social and emotional learning. Teaching and modeling emotional literacy to students and one another is not only important, but critical to addressing COVID-induced anxiety and emotional dysregulation and to building a safe and inclusive school community. This interactive virtual workshop will serve as an opportunity to reflect on the ways in which emotions impact how we show up for members of our school communities and ourselves. Attendees will be invited to participate in interactive activities that are equally relevant to adult conversations and those that teachers can facilitate with students. Where this event is designed to be highly interactive, space will be limited to the first 15 people who register (please see attached flyer for more detailed information about this event). However, we hope to offer it again for a larger audience once we receive feedback from the attendees in this first group.
