NHASP Leadership Academy is the premier educational event of the summer. Appropriate audiences include: school and system level leaders, department heads/deans, curriculum leaders, aspiring leaders and retirees throughout NH.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in diversified professional development offerings.  Featuring Authors Dr. John Eller and Tom Hierck.  John and Tom will provide insights and ideas related to trauma-sensitive instruction and leading trauma-sensitive schools. Specific topics to be addressed in this keynote include: a definition of trauma, the impact of trauma on the brain, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)and Trauma, the 8 Rs Essential for trauma-sensitive classrooms and schools, and the initial steps in leading a school toward becoming trauma-sensitive.

Breakout sessions will include some of the following topics: "Current Behavior Issues and How Schools are Dealing with Them," Recognizing and Responding to Youth in Distress, "Working Successfully with Families of Trauma-Impacted Students," and much more!
